About this trip

Six-pack ocean charter chasing big Chinook off Newport, OR. We troll herring and hoochies over the 180' line from late May through Labor Day. Fish are typically 15-30 lbs. All tackle, bait, rods, and fish cleaning included. Coast Guard-inspected 28' Grady-White with a head, fishfinder, and GPS. You bring a license, your lunch, and layers.

What if I get seasick?▾

Take Dramamine or a scopolamine patch the night before. We keep a light chop line when possible, but the ocean is the ocean.

Can kids come?▾

Absolutely. We run kid-friendly trips, just give us a heads-up on ages at booking so we can size lifejackets.

What do you do with the fish?▾

We'll clean and fillet dockside. You take home the meat in a bag; carcasses go back to the bait yard.
